CarSaver is architected around a strict offline-first, privacy-by-design philosophy. The app does not require account creation, logins, or continuous network connectivity. We do not operate remote tracking databases, sell personal driving or spending patterns, or share telemetry with third-party data brokers.
All information entered into CarSaver—including vehicle registration marks (VRM), VIN numbers, odometer entries, fuel expenses, maintenance invoices, and MOT records—is stored exclusively within the application's private Room SQLite database on your device. This data is protected by Android application sandboxing and is inaccessible to other apps.
You retain absolute ownership of all vehicle data. CarSaver includes native JSON full-database backup and restore capabilities, as well as CSV spreadsheet export for fuel and expense history. Unsubscribing, switching tiers, or removing the app never locks or encrypts your exportable files.
CarSaver operates without remote ad-networks or commercial analytics tracking suites. Network calls are strictly limited to optional external features initiated by the user (such as querying public UK MOT/DVLA registration data or live fuel station pricing feeds). No telemetry or identifiable device payloads accompany these requests.
